“I have called upon You, for You will answer me, O God; incline Your ear to me, hear my speech.”
~ Psalm 17:6 ~
Incline Your Ear - 09/17/08
This morning I woke up tired and more tired. I thought to myself, God I seriously can’t keep this pace up. Late nights, early mornings. And we are only on our third day. So I picked up the Word of God and looked to the psalm of the day. Psalm 17 was the exact encouragement of how to look to the Lord for protection in times of oppression. David wrote, “I have called upon You, for You will answer me, O God; incline Your ear to me, hear my speech.” And this passage couldn’t have come at a better time for me personally because as soon as I went out to the kitchen, there was another news article from today’s Santa Fe New Mexican. This time the article was written specifically about our local musician who dropped out. The title of the article, “Musician also backs out of revival.”
I thought to myself, “Lord, I could use a dose of You right now.” So I cried out to the Lord. And please allow me to tell you that God provides at all times. As I went to prayer time at the Convention Center, I was immediately revived. We encouraged one another. We prayed for one another. We uplifted one another. It was so refreshing, and just what I needed.
God had taken the pendulum and swung it to the “I am in this REVIVE Santa Fe side, and don’t you worry about a thing” SIDE. It was just the right timing. Our staff had a wonderful meeting this morning and we changed the “flow” for the evening. We were all on the same page (the worship goes first now, and the musicians go last.) We were all excited about this new approach.
Then during the morning, (aside from eating at Tia Sophias), logistics and details were beginning to take place. The team was taking on a lot of responsibilities, and I couldn’t have been more thankful for them. I also did an interview with a local radio station in Albuquerque, and the Spirit was evident in our conversations. Thank-you Lord! We might be doing more this week.
*Also, tomorrow (09/18) I will be doing an interview with Kerby Anderson , a talk-radio host with Point of View. He is nationally syndicated, so please don’t hesitate to look up the website and see if you can tune in to the interview. (For those of you in Dallas, I will be on the air at 1:15 (TX time) on 91.7 fm) The website link to see if you can listen is: http://www.pointofview.net/site/PageServer?pagename=Stations.
There is so much to write about today, so let’s just say this. God showed Himself today in a mighty powerful way. The joy of the Lord was so evident. The people came. The evening flowed. The prayer time was powerful. The mc was entertaining (Alberto – way to go!!) The Jesus Painter was fabulous (he even shared his testimony tonight). Worship music was good. Our musicians (Linda Tillery & the Cultural Heritage Choir), were so GOOD!! People were dancing, and doing the train in the convention center. We couldn’t of asked for a better night. Plus, I believe people are truly desiring to know the Word of God on a more personal level when they walk through the doors. Jesus was portrayed as the Door of the Sheep tonight.

But to top the night of, I just got an email indicating someone filled out a prayer request tonight at the convention center. Do you know what it said? You’ll be floored. I was. It said:
"Pray for me. I want to leave my homosexual lifestyle."
Oh Lord, thank-you. Thank-you. Thank-you. May the love of Jesus continue to permeate the homosexual community in Santa Fe.

Okay, here is the prayer request for tomorrow. To make a long story short, yesterday morning, I mentioned to my dad that I would like to do a press conference concerning everything going on here in Santa Fe. For some reason, I felt like we should be proactive. I don’t even know what that means, and what it would look like, let alone how do I get it to happen, so I began to process the thought of a press conference. Well, just walk with the Lord, and He will show Himself faithful. Because a couple hours later, the station manager from 94.7 fm (www.mykkim.com) asked if I would do a radio interview. But then, he brought up the topic of a press conference. I thought, “God, thanks for listening.” So by the end of our conversation, we had determined that the radio station was going to be coming out to the convention center to do a live press conference and live radio show. PRAISE THE LORD! But this is where the fun part kicks in – I have asked 7 area local pastors who will be joining me in our effort to call upon the Lord for revival at the press conference. My desire is for the pastors to declare that we are united as one body of Christ and we are going to stand together based on the Word of God. We want Jesus Christ to be proclaimed.
I don’t know what the end result will be, or how the actual time will go, but we are inviting other media from the Santa Fe/Albuquerque area to the press conference. They might come, they might not. I don’t know. But please pray for Jesus Christ to be the focus and the purpose of our time. May He be glorified. ~klm

P.S. – We were sad to see Pastor Hal head back to Dallas this morning, as well as Mark and Tara White. I just isn’ the same without y’all here. But God continues to provide people as Kirk and Doris Cave arrived from Dallas tonight to help out for the remainder of the time. Thank-you Lord.
